Happy Valentine's Day! We scanned the sheep today to see how many lambs we are expecting. This helps us to adjust their feeding and allows us to keep a special eye on those having triplets. A few of the Lleyns are expecting quads and one scanned with 5! We achieved an overall percentage of 201% (two lambs for every ewe on average), which is good.

It is going to be a busy spring. Calving in April, lambing in May and our baby is due in June!

The sun is shining and 1000 finches (linnets, yellowhammers, chaffinch etc) are feeding in the wild bird cover. A spectacular sight. Great to hear and watch them swoop and swirl.

Happy New Year to all! Our first Traditional Hereford cattle have arrived today…so exciting. They walked straight off the trailer and calmly checked out all the field boundaries, and then started munching away.

From today, our meadows and sheep are fully organic! The two year conversion period is over.
